Was he born criminal? No! Was any president born president? No!

I am against the death penalty even for the most horrible criminals! Death engenders death and the cycle needs to be broken. The vicious cycle must be broken! Prison for life with psychological framing is the solution to understand even the worst act of the most horrible being! To cure a disease you study the organs or whatever in a lab but to cure terror you kill it?!?! It doesn’t sound right at all!!!

As if you are destroying proof of a murder! As if you are more willing to invest millions in jets tanks and weapons but not willing to pay a good psychologist or/and psychiatrist to work closely for life with dangerous criminals and try at least to understand what’s wrong at the source! What really happened in their minds and brain source? What and/or who turned them into terror, crime, and horror? What happened really?

You are still acting like ancient times of kings and queens when we are a developing race that is developed enough to say to scientifically pierce enigmas around mysteries and specifically crimes!

You cannot cure murder by murder! as the action of murder makes you a murderer too! ( It makes you a ‘Legal Murderer’!)

White supremacists were born humans like anyone else, if they turned to violence it is because they didn’t have enough or at all education and/or for reasons we (may) ignore! I am not giving them excuses or even giving excuses to the horrible actions of terrorists! No, I am not, but there are clever ways to deal with these phenomena if we want a brighter future!

You cannot destroy or get over a fire by killing wood in it!

It is as if you know there’s a drug dealer and you kill him or her right away instead of investigating to know who is what is his/her source!

It is as if you caught the worst kamikaze of all time alive and then you help them finish their missions and kill them yourself! It doesn’t sound smart at all! You can’t participate in the mission of those people but you can stop it scientifically and study it! Yes, it takes time but that time is worth it as it will beget a brighter future!

Is it easier for you to support the NRA than to invest in one human being who turned to criminality or “was born criminal”?

Even Adolf Hitler if he were caught before he died or committed suicide (or whatever really happened), it would have been clever to study his behavior closely and investigated for life his terror to know what happened! It is worth it to know as it seems that the patterns of these guys are the same or “almost”. Even if it takes a lifetime of investigations and study it is worth it to know why and how in order to cure that mental anomaly.

Was he born criminal? No! Was any president born president? No!

Music Puts Back Everything in Order!

Yesterday I had the honor to be invited by one of my dear brothers from the Chorus to a Saint Patrick party!

I thought I was gonna learn more about Saint Patrick, enjoy the party and not something else!

I talked with about 10 different people during the party! 7 out of 10 started right away talking about the Quran and Islam as soon as I answered their question about my origin! The so famous ‘interrogation’; “Where are you from?”. They shifted right away to that channel ’69’ as if I pressed a button on a remote control! The “best” one I had was an American guy from the Philippines originally, who said: ” I know about the Quran but you don’t because Tunisia is French even though you look Arab and you probably don’t speak Arabic ‘?‘ but know that the Quran is dangerous and I’m educating people to stay away from it as once you read it you become radical … … it’s in the surah # … !” ?Believe it or not, I said nothing! Me!!! Saying nothing! Yes! Me!

My brother heard some stupid things and he especially interfered then with that specific one guy because he felt that he didn’t want to be in my position and that it was too much! Then he told me “What an asshole! ?” then he added “I’m sorry my dear but know that certain people are assholes and ignorant! They also ignore a lot about the world, Alaa!

I stepped away because I needed a drink! The guy responsible for the bar who was an American since many, many X generations from an Irish root, said to me:”What would you like to drink?” Red wine please, I answered!

While pouring my wine in the glass he looked at my name tag and said “Alaa” is that Arabic? I said Yes, it is! He looked to the 2 other guys next to him “Witnesses” looked back to me and said, “As a Muslim, I thought you were supposed to stay away from it, ha ha ha!”

I took my glass looked at the 3 of them and said: Well I’m a bad Muslim, and cheered a salute to him while raising my glass! Then added after a sip of wine, ? now I suppose I’m a Christian since I had some wine as wine is Jesus blood! The two guys with us laughed at the same time! #cheers

Another one (American originally from India) said: “Alaa”? I thought it had an “h” at the end!? He had a surprised tone and above all, he thought I was ‘Allah’! I answered well sorry to disappoint you, that’s not me but someone else!???? That actually made me laugh as I ‘discovered’ that I am 100 percent, not God but I am 300 percent GOOD!? (P.S.: with two Os and an ‘h’ at the end this time Ooh!), (P.P.S: I thought I was a queen but I’ll take the title of goddess if that’s what they think of me!)

Helllllloooooooooo, people, I am an artist singer and human rights activist, not an Imam.

Some other guys and some of the same ones who talked to me were very interested in the Arab Spring and by the Tunisian revolution! (It was nice of them) but honestly I wanted to talk about my being a happy man and passionate artist or/and maybe share my dreams, bright philosophies, exchange some hugs and kisses with my fellow gays, or more of that learn about the different stories around Saint Patrick! Not Mother Teresa, Abraham, Mohammed, Adonai or Allah, or Jesus or Buddha … That’s all that I wanted, honestly to whomever God you all believe in, that’s all that I wanted!

Some people say it’s hard to be a famous star, person or whatever  I think I just say: it’s hard to be me! But it’s me, “this is me!”, and that’s my name and I’m proud of it!

My favorite moment was when I sang “Stay” by Rihanna with a very nice guy from Lafayette who dragged me towards the lonely dusty forgotten piano that was in a dark corner of the space, and we made it happen, I sang despite the fact that they ‘made me sick, and pierced my tongue’! He played with his magical fingers and we were applauded. (Music puts everything back in order!) His name was Chris and he was half Native American and many other roots! (and we all were in the same room on the same planet)

I also will never forget what I said when my brother who was so amazed by my activism for gay rights in Tunisia told me: “You have a very interesting story Alaa and you are brave because you could have been killed!”

I answered: I don’t fear death, I fear oppression!

We Are All Bright

Yesterday an over 69 years old friend with whom I enjoy debating most of the time said to me “You need to stop trying to save the world and think about yourself more, young man!”

I looked at him and told him: Would you have said the same thing if it was Harvey Milk sitting next to you?

When he stared at me I knew and saw the real answer inside of his eyes and his look as it was obvious! But even though he said, “Yes, I would have!”

That’s when I told him: You wouldn’t be sitting here with me in a gay bar in the Castro if he followed your advice!

While my dear friend went to take a leak away my dear brain went thinking at the same time wondering why people recognize activists and their avant-garde only when they pass away or get killed and why the same thing is oftentimes true for artists as well?

What they don’t know is that if they recognize truth and respect brightness it will lead them to discover a bigger or equal virtue in themselves as we are all bright in a way or another.

I Am The Love Who Travels

People, why am I even crying when I see homeless people, People? Do something for a stranger with Love and from your Heart and you will make this Planet a better World!

Let’s just think of truly ending homelessness and the actions will follow.

It is not okay at all to live in the same home and not having enough room for everyone, Right, Yes? Then it is not okay to be living in the same home called Planet Earth and not having enough room for everyone. Correct, Yes?

When I from my heart hope and share my dream of one day having on our passports Planet Earth’s picture in addition to our country flags, I mean it! (Oh and I do not belong to any movement or organization as I am my own movement and my own organization.) Some people’s eyes shine and some others say “how about UrAnus?!” I laugh and say back: Yes, the Entire Galaxy if one day we could reach Uranus with Venus, even though most humans are most attracted to Mars and Jupiter!

So yes UrAnus and of course mine, so loved brother!

Do something for nothing for a stranger and for our planet. Remember, I am the Love who travels on and in this Planet, just like you are! (You may just don’t know it yet, but you are Love as well)

People Are Ordering Today That Yesterday Stops!

9/11 has affected lots of lives in The U.S and The U.S as an entire country. It’s one of the most horrible attacks the world has known!

It’s not bad history only. It should never be forgotten and never happen again! That can only happen if we stand all together as one human race!

Conflicts between countries must stop. It’s an order from the people! The people are ordering today that Yesterday stops!

Yesterday, I heard one of the most beautiful stories told by one of our guests during a rehearsal with the Chorus! Our motivating conductor asked and insisted that the guest talks about his inspiring story at the time of the horrible terrorist attack that happened on 9/11. He told how folks got together and sang in the chaos after the attack and spoke of the magical power of their singing. This is what was confirmed for me: “Music is our unity to all of us against terror!” I believe in that, and today I’m “preaching”, saying, and repeating that we are all synchronized voices thanks to music and when we sing our hearts can be beating together at the same time for love and peace! If we can synchronize our voices we can synchronize our hearts!

I was so inspired by the statement that came after the speech that it brought to me the fact that today also all Arabs or people from Muslim background shouldn’t feel guilty for an act of a terror they didn’t do and above all they shouldn’t be discriminated against for being who they are! Terror is terror and it has no background other than terror itself! For example, it’s totally like Adolph Hitler and Germans today. All Germans shouldn’t be feeling guilty or discriminated against for the act of a terrorist. Today no one should be feeling guilty nor discriminated against for the actions of a crazy individual(s) terrorist(s) “human being(s)”! Never again! #NeverAgain

I was so inspired by the words I heard! I do believe Music is inclusive and hate is decisive and divisive. No matter what you believe in, what your religion is or if you have none, just stand with the right and the truth you hear inside of you not with the manipulation and hate. Yes, Music is a healer to this planet and we will all be one big family one day as a human race.

The last part of the speech was very rough to hear and emotionally heavy as I felt how much my brothers and myself were affected by it! Said that way and then adding to it that music is a healer and that it makes all the people come together is just perfect. It’s one of my own doctrines and self-developed ideologies, as well.

I remembered also that manipulative people like Donald Trump always use terrorism as Horrorism to create division, holocaust, and genocide. They use it to make people fear cultures like mine and backgrounds like mine which is just sad and if you think of it deeply it’s a kind of terror as well.

Thanks to education today and smart people all over this planet we know that music and arts unite the good and that sooner or later the bad will vanish!

This said I’d like to end by saying: I am proud of my background more than ever. And more than my native background, I’m proud that I’m the son of this Planet and that my energy is beautiful and that I also know that Germans are not Hitler and Arabs and/or Muslims are not Bin Laden!

If you want Love to win, we need to love Love. With music love wins. Love is powerful and absorbs any beatings that we take. Only when we love Love, do we win!
